January 3, 2012 - Bo continues to be supported in water around the clock at the TMMSN's Galveston rehabilitation facility. As noted upon intake, we still believe that there was an underlying cause for stranding beyond his shark bite injuries. We are still working to diagnose the cause. Bo is estimated at 1 year of age so, he is currently learning to eat whole fish and continues to be tube fed a gruel mixture and formula. This is a special milk formula developed for young dolphins and is very expensive. Bo is also currently receiving antibiotic treatment.
