Dolphins washed up along the French coast

Poor sea conditions in recent weeks brought back to the coast in our region piles of driftwood, tree trunks and other bulky rejected by the sea

Since the strong winds from the east in October and November, it is very sad discoveries like this, most recently, a young dolphin stranded on the beach at Port la Nouvelle. While others were reported dead on the coast Aude, in Carcassonne, Leucate, Toreilles and the Pyrenees-Orientales to Barcarès. Last week, as many as five dolphins were found dead on beaches, young dolphin small, but the blue dolphins and bottlenose dolphins. No fewer than a hundred bodies were identified in 2011. Much more than last year, scientists at the Office of hunting are conducting tests to try to determine the exact cause of this significant increase in mortality.
